What you'll be doing;
- Identify, list and package customer waste materials for transport while ensuring compliance with technical and legislative requirements
- Manage time effectively, solve problems, and deliver exceptional customer service
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with diverse customers, from small businesses to multinational organizations
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain proper PPE and equipment standards
- Conduct multiple customer visits within a 2-hour radius of site location
- Ensure safe operations to protect self, team members, and customers from health and safety risks
- Follow company procedures and legal requirements for hazardous waste handling, packaging, labeling, and transportation
What we're looking for;
Essential
- Science related degree/HNC/HND Level
- Manual handling - Must be able to lift reasonable weights safely.
- Valid UK driving licence
- You would be expected to drive commercial vehicles, up to and including 7.5Te vehicles - training can be given.
Desirable
- ADR (International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) qualification - Training can be given.
- Health and Safety Qualification
- Sound knowledge of environmental legislation
- Knowledge of the waste industry/dangerous goods
