Summary
ROLE: LCV Technician
LOCATION: Swindon
SALARY: 39.5k basic, 45k ote + overtime @ 1.5 + benefits
HOURS: multiple shift options available, days, lates, nights
As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / LCV Technician / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic you will possess the skills and qualities of a qualified Technician but will also have the skill set to diagnose and repair the more complex technical issues that present. This will enable you to keep our customers’ vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service and to the highest quality.
Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / LCV Technician / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – duties:
• Performing major and minor repairs to vans
• Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services
• Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
• Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
• Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired
• Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
• Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
• Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.
Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician / LCV Technician / LCV Mechanic / Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – about you:
• You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance
• Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs
• Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving license for the relevant vehicle classes.
