Mainline Menswear is one of the biggest names in men’s fashion in the UK, offering all the biggest brands. This is supplemented by a small selection of market leading partners providing niche expertise and support.
In line with continual company growth, we are looking to recruit a talented Lead Front End Developer to join us. Leading the existing team of front end developers and UX operations, within the wider development team and reporting to the Head of Development the successful applicant will be responsible for helping to maintain and develop the companies’ customer facing websites and apps.
Located on the outskirts of Scarborough, close to the A64, Seamer train station and public transport with free parking.
The role is full time, the working hours are 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday in the office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead, coach and develop the front end team to evolve and maintain best practice standards.
• Own the day-to-day development of the front facing elements of the company’s website and app.
• Continually improve the shopping experience for a wide variety of users around the world.
• Gatekeep the versions and change history to ensure changes and features have been tested and are live at the right time.
• Lead the UX designer and 3rd party testing platform to test and launch changes and new features.
• Understand and adopt design best practice for a retail eCommerce website.
SKILLS
• A keen eye for design, attention to detail and an ability to positively impact customer experience is essential.
• Experience and expertise in web development is essential. Ideally working within a similar role, or ready to take a step up in career progression.
• Moderate to expert knowledge in at least two of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL.
• Knowledge of Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Node.js, Angular2, Typescript, RESTFUL APIs and XXXXXX would be advantageous but not necessary.
• Must be able to self-organise and manage / plan your own time effectively.
