About the role:
Pay Details: Grade 8, SCP 26-30, £36,134 - £39,513, £18.72-£20.48ph
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 37 hours
Main Place of Work: Community Enterprise Centre, Barry
Contract Length: 31/03/2027
Temporary Reason: Welsh Government grant funding
Description: Providing day to day operational oversight of the service that includes supervision and caseload management for a team of TAF Workers, managing statistical information on referral data, report writing and ensuring the service is achieving successful outcomes.
About you / You will need:
Experience:
• 4 years’ experience of working directly in Family Support.
• Experience of partnership work and working with multi agency teams.
• Experience of supervising and leading a team.
• Experience of participating in inter-agency meetings.
• Experience of evaluating outcomes.
• Experience of report writing.
• Experience of providing quality assurance.
Knowledge:
• Competent in the Principles of the Children Act 1989.
• Competent in the Social Services and Wellbeing Wales Act (2014).
• Competent in child protection and an understanding of the referral process.
• Competent in child development.
• Competent in using a range of evaluation tools.
Skills and Aptitudes:
• Effective management and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Ability to chair meetings.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate information.
• Ability to plan work and set priorities.
• Ability to reflect on own practice and recognise areas of improvement.
• Ability to identify, assess and manage risk.

Qualifications:
• NVQ level 4 in relevant subject or equivalent.
