Summary
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
- Secure the load on the vehicle using ratchet straps.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any issues encountered.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in production unit duties when not on delivery routes, including preparation of product, organisation of stock & cleaning.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence; experience as a van driver is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial.
- A good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential.
Must hold a full & clean UK driving licence. Driving over 1 year is a necessity.
Shifts are flexible on but mainly consist of 6am-12pm/3pm
