Workshop / Engineering Assistant
Location: Rochdale
⏰ Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm / Friday 8am – 3:30pm
Pay: £12.21
Contract: Temp ongoing
Are you practical, hands-on, and keen to work in a busy and friendly workshop environment? We’re looking for a Workshop / Engineering Assistant to support our engineering and production team with a range of tasks involving tools, machinery, and general workshop duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the use of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, and other workshop equipment
- Preparing and cutting materials to specification
- General assembly and support on engineering projects
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and organised
- Helping with loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Supporting qualified engineers with day-to-day tasks
Requirements:
✅ Basic experience using tools such as drills and saws (training can be provided)
✅A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
✅Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
✅A proactive attitude and team spirit
✅Health & safety awareness in a workshop environment
