We are looking for a Community Public Health Nurse to join our 0-19 Child and Young Person Public Health Service, working within the Healthy Child Programme. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while making a real impact on the lives of children and young people.
A full training package will be provided, as will opportunities to develop your career and skillset further. We are able to offer this part time, term time role, with a complete training package and a preceptorship programme. Main duties of the jobAs a Community Public Health Nurse, you will:
- Support children and families across a variety of settings, including schools, health centres, and homes.
- Work closely with primary and secondary schools, delivering public health initiatives on emotional wellbeing, sexual health, safeguarding, and managing medical conditions.
- Undertake Healthy Child Programme assessments and contribute to health promotion activities.
- Work in partnership with families, schools, and agencies to improve health outcomes.

- Confidence to speak in front of larger groups
- Community Experience
- Experience of delivering health promotion activities.
- First Level Registered Nurse or Midwife
- Practice assessor/supervisor or equivalent experience
- Demonstrates an understanding of evidence-based practice
- Demonstrates an understanding of leadership skills
- Excellent communicator with a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills
- An effective and proactive team player
- Competent knowledge and skills in IT packages e.g Microsoft word, excel
- Motivates and inspires confidence and enthusiasm in self and team
