The role:
An opportunity has arisen for a hard-working individual to contribute to the welcoming and professional image of Portsmouth High School. Hours of work are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, with one early finish at 2:00 pm each week (usually Friday). There is a one-hour unpaid lunch break during the day.
The successful applicant will be one of two daytime cleaners at the school and will primarily be based at our beautiful Prep School site. As a cleaner, you will ensure that the school's high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained, so that the school remains a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. In addition to cleaning, you can also expect to set up chairs and tables in the Hall for mealtimes and assemblies, and to unlock the school first thing in the morning.
The ideal applicant will be an experienced cleaner with knowledge of best practices in cleaning. You will be able to work efficiently and effectively independently, and on occasion as part of a team. You will possess a keen eye for detail and be willing to problem-solve if needed. Experience of cleaning in an office / educational setting would be an advantage. Online training will be given so a basic level of computer skills is needed.
Pay is monthly, including during school holiday periods.

We are a welcoming and caring community, committed to staff well-being.
