Summary

Job Title: Groundworker - HS2 Project

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Contract
Start Date: Immediate

Company Overview:
We are currently looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our growing team on the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Banbury area. This is a long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a range of groundwork duties including drainage, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and ducting.

  • Trenching and reinstatement works.

  • Working safely around live services and in accordance with site safety protocols.

  • Assisting with setting out and reading drawings (where applicable).

  • Collaborating with plant operators, supervisors, and other trades on site.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker card preferred)

  • Proven experience in groundwork on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with groundworks tools, materials, and methods.

  • UK Driving Licence required - site is not easily accessible via public transport.

  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures on site.

Desirable:

  • CPCS/NPORS tickets for dumper/roller or other plant machinery

  • Confined spaces or deep excavation certification

  • Previous experience working on HS2 or similar large-scale infrastructure projects

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends depending on site needs.
