Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm
We are working with a manufacturer of Windows and Doors who are looking to recruit for a Yards Operative to join the business. Working from their site in Southampton you will be responsible for:
• Loading and unloading: The role will involve the handling & physical movement of goods, materials, and equipment.
• Stock management: The organisation and storage of goods whilst ensuring they are properly accounted for.
• Record keeping: The role will require keeping track of stock levels, incoming and outgoing goods and other relevant information.
• Customer service: Frequent interaction with customers including assisting with loading of vehicles.
• Yard maintenance: Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and free from hazards is a core responsibility.
• Health and safety: Maintaining a safe working environment is crucial, along with adhering to safety procedures.
This role will involve manual handling and working outdoors in various conditions.
The successful candidate will possess;
• Excellent Teamwork and communication skills
• PC Literate
• Excellent attention to detail to maintain accurate records
• Hold a full clean UK driving licence
• A forklift licence is preferred; however, training will be provided.
