Summary

The School of Engineering and Computing would like to recruit an Apprentice Educator to join our existing team of Apprentice Educators who work closely with apprentice learners; teaching course teams and employers. The main focus of the role will be to guide & support, monitor and assess both employers and apprentices throughout the degree apprenticeship journey and to contribute to the activities of the school and university with regard to the delivery and compliance of degree apprenticeships.
About you:
The successful candidate will have coaching skills to motivate and engage learners who are young, as well as mature learners. Work experience in the sector associated with the apprenticeship programme is an advantage. You must be passionate about developing others and be empathetic and people-focused.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree (honours preferred in either computing or engineering or an allied subject). The role involves proactively encouraging learner engagement with their programmes and related learning resources. You will undertake learner progress reviews and work collaboratively with employers/line managers. It requires providing feedback on relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours, managing the electronic portfolio, and providing academic and safeguarding support to learners.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Sarah Fuller via email in the first instance.
