Summary
A Personal Assistant is required for a 6-year-old boy in HU4 area of Hull. The ideal PA will be patient kind and caring. This young boy enjoys going to soft plays, swimming, parks, imagination play centres.
Your main duties will be to help the young boy access areas of interest for him. He will need 1 to 1 supervision, as he can display challenging behaviour when upset and is on a continuous pump feed. He is non-verbal and struggles to communicate his needs. He may require some medications while out and will require personal care as he is still in nappies. Experience of autism and pump feeding preferred. He has complex medical needs, but all training will be provided to the right candidate.
A car driver is preferred as the young boy is wheelchair user and struggles to walk longer distances due to medical conditions/safety. The family have recently acquired a Motability vehicle and the successful applicant will be expected to take the boy out in this; the vehicle will be insured for them to drive, and mileage costs will be met by the employer.
The hours needed are 4 hours term time Saturday or Sunday.
Hours in the holidays are 8 hours; days/times flexible.
