As part of our Finance team, you’ll deliver financial insight and advice to colleagues working in our Housing Management Contract (HMC) with Cheshire West and Chester Council. You’ll work with budget holders to deliver management accounts, support the month-end close process, and provide advice to add value and assist with decision making.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will deliver high quality financial insight and advice to ForHousing and the Housing Management Contract (HMC), by working closely with the Budget Holders to create an active partnership with both operations and management.
This role will business partner with the HMC Operations team, with responsibility for the following key areas:
• Provide a management reporting service, by working closely with the Directors and Budget Holders to deliver management accounts in accordance with agreed deadlines
• Support the forecasting and month-end close process to provide insight to inform decision-making by EMT and the Board and optimise financial performance
• Support the annual budget process within agreed timescales, ensuring key organisational metrics are achieved, and Budget Holders are engaged in the process and accountable for their areas of responsibility
• Create an active partnership with Budget Holders through a Finance Business Partnering approach which drives high quality financial management, reporting and internal control, developing Budget Holders financial awareness and skills
• Provide dynamic advice and analysis as a trusted advisor to add value and assist with decision making
This role will be key in supporting the delivery of a proactive and high-quality financial service, which will require collaboration across the business, to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships.

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in a Financial Business Partnering role.
• Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
