Summary
Since 1984, McNealy Brown Ltd has been an established steelwork design, fabrication and installation company, located in Sittingbourne Kent. Specialising in structural and architectural steelwork on the railway and LUL infrastructure, we are currently looking for a Yard & Workshop Operative from the North Kent area to join our direct workforce, working primarily in our workshops in Sittingbourne.
We are looking for someone to join our team to keep the yard and workshops tidy. Typical duties will be daily sweeping up and safe disposal of fabrication waste, weeding, and supporting current staff with keeping the yard tidy and organised.
You will need to hold a full driving licence, as they may also be required to assist with occasional deliveries/collections. Ideally, you will also be able to drive a forklift truck, however training can be provided.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a primarily a maintenance role, hence we are looking for someone that can use their own initiative to keep active and make improvements around the facility (within their abilities) from painting walls, floors to minor repairs works, with a “can do” attitude.
You may be required to take a medical and drug/alcohol test during the selection process and randomly during any future employment. This is intended to be a full time, permanent role.
40 hours per week basic with opportunities for overtime.
McNealy Brown Limited are an equal opportunities employer. We actively encourage people from groups with different needs or historical disadvantage to apply for jobs.
