Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified ESOL Teacher to support the English lessons of participants on the Bright Family Futures employability programme.

The candidate should possess 3 years experience teaching English language and hold a teaching qualification (TESOL, TEFL, DELTA, general teaching).

The role will include the preparation of materials and the delivery of weekly group sessions. Participants on this course are New Scots, and will be looking to improve their English language skills in a supportive setting with engaging in-person lessons.

It would be helpful if the candidate can add a knowledge of employability and a focus on this during English lessons.

About Barnardo's Works

Employment Training and Skills (ETS) courses provide young people with skills and qualifications they can build on and develop throughout their working life.

In partnership with employers, schools, colleges, and charities, we train and support over 300 young people every year. We provide courses, support, and careers advice, to young people whether they interested in construction qualifications or a hairdressing apprenticeship.

We work with 15–29-year-olds who are looking to enter employment, we work with you them on both an individual and group basis to find the best employment opportunities in their area and to help prepare them for these opportunities. As part of the service, we also work with the families of young people to provide a holistic, family approach to employability.
