Summary
Class 1 Driver – Immediate Start.
Are you making the most of your Class 1 licence? We're looking for a reliable driver to join a busy team in Ilkeston. The role involves UK-wide palletised deliveries, with typically one drop and one collection per shift.
You may be required to night out up to 3 times a week (paid at £30 per night) for longer runs or next-day routes. No handball is involved, but occasional unloading may be required once forklift trained.
To be suitable for this role, you will need 3 years of class 1 driving experience along with the below:
- A Class 1 (HGV) Driving licence.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A valid UK CPC qualification.
- A Forklift licence would be preferred but is not essential, as they will put you through the full forklift driving course if not.
This is a temp to perm role.
This is a Monday to Friday position with start times varying by route, typically around 07:30. Shifts last between 8 to 10 hours, with a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours’ pay per day. Please note, the role may involve 3 to 4 nights out per week.
The pay rate is £18.15 per hour through our Umbrella provider. Alternatively, you can choose PAYE, with a rate of £15.00 per hour plus full pay for 28 days’ annual leave—bringing the effective hourly rate to £16.81 including holiday pay. Night outs are paid at £30 per night. Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship.
