Summary
Join us as a Content & Planning Lead
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a new content strategy for colleague communications across all internal channels
You’ll be leading a team of campaign and content creators
You’ll champion the voice of our customers and colleagues, creating world-class content and campaigns informed by bank and external data and insights
What you'll do
You’ll be driving the creation of innovative and engaging content and campaigns, as well as owning the content strategy and campaigns plan for Colleague Communications across the bank.
Additionally, you’ll be:
Leading the development of a new channel strategy, driving the bank-wide adoption of innovative new channels
Driving the creation and adoption of a new content strategy
Flexibly managing a team of content and campaign creators who are responsible for strategic communications that colleague engagement across the bank
Writing and editing content, advising on design, style and tone, and adhering to brand and accessibility standards at all times
Making sure all content is aligned to the bank-wide Corporate Affairs strategy
Driving the creation and adoption of a new, rigorous planning process
Allocating and assigning support for priority content and campaigns that drive action against NatWest Group’s strategy, agreeing prioritisation and resourcing needs with the Colleague Communications Leadership team
Identifying reputational risks in content and making sure they’re mitigated prior to publishing
Overseeing the news schedule as part of the wider content plan, including writing and publishing bank-wide news
Managing the bank’s content response to crisis communications needs as they arise
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with exceptional editorial, written and planning skills, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a flexible team of campaign and content creators. You’ll also bring strong experience of developing, owning and maintaining strategic communication plans for a large organisation.
Alongside a proven track record of developing high quality content across range of channels and media, executing successful content and planning processes, you’ll need a keen eye for editorial detail and ensuring communications adhere to brand and accessibility standards
You’ll also need:
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to identify and tell stories that resonate with colleagues and customers
A collaborative approach to facilitate working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders
A digital-first mindset that embraces new technology, with experience of ensuring the adoption of new channels which drive productivity and performance in a large organisation
To be detail oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced and changeable environment
Proven leadership skills, with a successful track record of building communication centres of excellence
