Summary

Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Learning Technician to join our Supported Learning team at our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campus. You will join us on a part time (22.5 hours), full year basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £26,825 - £28,629 per annum (actual salary of £16,312 - £17,409 per annum), plus staff benefits. Your efforts will support all teaching activities and contribute to creating a safe, organised, and inclusive environment for our students and staff. Key Responsibilities: Preparation and Maintenance:
Prepare and set up materials and equipment for practical sessions and demonstrations.
Maintain tools, machinery, and resources to support high-quality learning experiences. Look after small animals during holidays and weekends at the Huntingdon Campus. Operational Support:
Assist and oversee learners in their use of materials and equipment.
Order materials, accept deliveries, and maintain accurate records to ensure adequate stock levels.
Liaise with the Head of Department, Team Leaders, and other staff to ensure smooth operation of practical activities. Health and Safety:
Ensure workshops and associated areas meet all health and safety requirements.
Conduct regular checks, maintenance, and updates on risk assessments, sharing findings with the teaching teams.
Promote good housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Collaboration and Flexibility:
Work collaboratively within the Departmental team to meet learners' needs.
Provide support for departmental courses in both workshops and indoor and outdoor learning environments as directed.
Attend college open days and other events to promote the college. Professionalism and Communication:
Maintain professional interactions with external partners, suppliers, parents, and other stakeholders.
Ensure a smart and professional personal appearance at all times.
Attend and contribute to team meetings. What we are looking for in our role: Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to operate and maintain a range of tools and machinery.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Flexibility to work across multiple campuses and adapt to various tasks.
