Our team is growing, and we’re looking for caring, proactive and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join us full-time at our Trowbridge Campus, working with our youngest pupils in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
What makes Silverwood a great place to work?
• A welcoming, respectful and supportive culture where your wellbeing matters
• Family-friendly hours and term-time working
• Opportunities to grow your skills and build a fulfilling career in SEND
• A job that gives back—every single day
Why our staff love working here:
“There is a genuine ‘human’ feel to the school. Colleagues are respectful of everyone’s situations and there is a real focus on providing a work/life balance.”
“I absolutely love my job and look forward to coming into school every day. I love the team I work with and fully trust and respect them all. They support me 100% as I do them.”
What you’ll do:
• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including during Forest School and hydrotherapy sessions
• Help create engaging, sensory-rich environments for learning and play
• Promote social and emotional development through kindness and consistency
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and specialist staff
• Make a visible difference to the lives of young people—and enjoy plenty of smiles along the way
What you’ll need:
• A calm, patient, and positive approach
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
• Team spirit and good communication skills
• Experience working with children or SEND is preferred, but not essential—we’ll support you every step of the way
