Summary

NHS Highland Lochaber Social Work Team has a vacancy for a qualified Social Worker; this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Social Work team which works as part of an integrated health and social care community service. The Social Work team provides a generic adult social work service to adults including supporting transitions for young people with disability from children’s service, adult with learning disability, adults with complex health needs and physical disability, adults living with severe and enduring mental health needs and older adults.

The Lochaber adult Social Work service works across a large geographical area and provides opportunity for practicing in rural Social Work as well as within the more Urban area of Fort William.

Candidates should have a suitable professional Social Work qualification and be registered with the SSSC.

NHS Highland offers a supportive professional Social Work working environment with an emphasis on learning and development and robust levels of supervision and support, including peer support.

This post will be based in Fort William, and you will be required to provide services across the whole Lochaber area. A driving licence is essential and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, a pool car is also available.
