Summary


We are looking for a part-time Band 5 paediatric research nurse to join the STRONG team to support our growing portfolio of clinical drug trials. We are especially keen for someone with and interest in neuromuscular conditions.

Working with senior leadership and team support you will be responsible for effectively managing and delivering patient care as per the Clinical Drug Trial Protocols.

The role will include the nursing care of patients attending for trial visits including patient assessment, sample management, treatment administration and documentation of care given.

Employed as a Research Nurse to facilitate the research pathway for participants in clinical trials. Will be directly involved in:

Ø assessing, planning & implementing care for clinical trial participants during research visits

Ø collection and documentation of accurate data and record of care if appropriate.

Ø provide support for a range of research studies and be expected to be flexible to work across a broad portfolio

assist in the recruitment & retention of participants

· Fulfil the expectations and capabilities as delegated by the Sponsor, Chief Investigator or Principal Investigator as set out in GCP & Research Governance Framework

· Work collaboratively with OUH service delivery colleagues to ensure high quality participant care and experience

· The Research Nurse will be an integral member of the STRONG Group working closely with the Senior Research Nurse, Erica Puri and the Operations Manager, Laura Chiverton
