Purovets are working with a proudly independent small animal practice in Essex that are looking for an additional veterinary surgeon as they look to continue growth and expansion. The practice was opened in 2023 by two vets that pride themselves on fair pricing, family atmosphere, case consistency and close ties to local charities. They are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious, small animal Veterinary Surgeon who shares their ethos of outstanding, personalised client care alongside fair and transparent pricing.

You will be working in state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced diagnostic equipment like an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasonography and cutting edge surgical facilities. They have recently completed the next phase of their practice, which has transformed it into a fully-equipped hospital! The hospital will feature cat-only consult rooms and kennels, a separate euthanasia room, another theatre, a separate lab room and a dedicated dental room.

The team currently consists of seven veterinary surgeons, six RVNs, two SVNs, two VCAs, three receptionists and a kennel hand. Their culture emphasises the wellbeing and development of all team members, providing high-quality clinical support to enable the team to reach their full potential. This role would best suit a one to three year graduated veterinary surgeon, and their experienced team would support any recently qualified veterinary surgeon with gaining further skill, confidence and expertise. All they require is a great attitude and willingness to learn and grow, with support for personal and professional development whenever you need it.

You will be working in the Harlow area, a town in Essex that is known for its unique blend of modern architecture and green spaces. It boasts a rich history dating back to the medieval era and has evolved into a vibrant community with shopping centres, museums, and cultural attractions. Harlow boasts efficient transport links connecting it to London and other major cities. The town benefits from a railway station with frequent services, reliable bus networks, and proximity to major roads like the M11. These connections facilitate easy commuting and enhance the town's accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

Role:

• Salary up to £75,000 DOE
• Full-time role, 4 days a week
• Shifts between 8am and 8pm, flexible rota options
• 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am – 3pm
• No OOHs

Benefits:

• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• £1,500 CPD allowance, flexible
• Certificate support
• RCVS and VDS fees paid, plus one additional professional membership
• Company pension
• 50% staff discount
• Membership to on-site gym, swimming pool, spa and sports hall
• Free parking
