An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing and forward thinking practice in Derbyshire. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and support, as you help shape the future of a developing branch that currently opens two days a week, with plans to expand to four as the team grows. It’s a fantastic chance to take ownership, influence how the practice evolves, and form lasting bonds with a loyal and growing client base.
Working in a one vet, one nurse setup, you'll enjoy real independence and the opportunity to see cases through from start to finish. A typical day will involve morning consultations followed by surgical procedures such as neutering, dentals, or lump removals, with additional consults in the afternoon. And although you’ll be working independently at times, support is always available when needed.
You’ll also spend two days a week at a second, busier branch just a short drive away. This well-equipped site boasts a full diagnostic suite, including x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy, and offers a broader and more varied caseload. Here, you'll collaborate with experienced vets, qualified and student nurses, client care assistants, and a dedicated practice manager—all united in delivering personalised, high quality care.
This role is ideal for a confident, compassionate vet with at least 3 years of UK experience, who’s comfortable with sole charge and looking for long term continuity with clients and patients.
