What is an Unqualified Teacher?

As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you will lead classes and cover lessons under the guidance of senior staff and subject leads. While you won’t yet hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), you will gain invaluable experience running your own classroom.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in your subject specialism
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
• Deliver revision and intervention sessions for key year groups
• Support pupils of all abilities and backgrounds
• Gain exposure to the full teacher timetable and curriculum cycle

Who Are We Looking For?

This role suits graduates who:

• Have a 2:1 or above in a core subject (English, maths, science, humanities, etc.)
• Are confident communicators with natural leadership skills
• Are considering a PGCE, School Direct, or Teach First route next year
• Can quickly build rapport with teenagers
• Are excited by the prospect of delivering real lessons from day one
