Security Supervisor - Hourly Rate: £15.66 - Hours: 56hrs contract -
-Shifts: 7/3—7/4 (Days, Nights & Weekends & Bank Holidays) (56hrs pw)
-Ability to work Hours: 07:00 - 19:00hrs / 19:00 - 07:00hrs
-To maintain the security and life safety of the clients staff, assets, and reputation.

Main Duties
-Day to day allocation and implementation of duties for rostered security officers in accordance with Assignment Instructions (A. I's) and any additional manning requirements that have been previously arranged or are deemed necessary due to unforeseen situations.
-Ensure that all security officers are in possession of a valid SIA licence or letter of dispensation before being booked on for duty, confirming this by signing the relevant D.O.B.
-Provide first line incident investigation and supervision in response to security and life safety situations when required.
-Escalate and report any/all security breaches to line management.
-Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of both MITIE and the client.
-Provide necessary documentation to security officers to communicate change of circumstance any functions.
-Report immediately any/all equipment faults to the relevant vendor, providing correct details and in a timely manner.
-Conduct regular post visits throughout each shift to ensure supervisory oversight and security officers' adherence.
-Issue daily security briefs to all rostered security officers to inform them of any ongoing or upcoming events of interest.
-Assume role of Assembly Area Marshall/Manager in the event of an emergency evacuation.
-Always remain vigilant to safeguard the security of all personnel and assets within each DB premises.
-Deal with the client and the client's staff in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.
-At all times ensure that the building(s) under your care is well presented, clean and tidy, in good repair and condition by way of reporting maintenance issues as required.
-Respond to emergency situations and assist with emergency building evacuations when necessary.
-Ensure that the logbooks for each building(s) under your care are present, completed and up to date by way of daily checks / post visits and sign each book to confirm this.
-Maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communication to colleagues at all times.
-Provide first aid if required when responding to an emergency medical situation.
-Remain alert to local events which potentially impact business operations.
-Ensure full compliance of audit requirements by way of following current processes in place.
-Remain pro-active in your approach to the role and escalate any concerns you may have to Mitie management.
-Any other duty deemed relevant by line management / contract management.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

-Proven experience as a Security Officer in related roles.
-Valid Security Licence (SG or DS).
-Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
-Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
-Excellent Communication Skills.
-Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
-Basic Computer Skills.
-Flexibility to Work Various Shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
