Summary
All general yard duties to include :
Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy
Turning horses in and out
Grooming and tacking up
Bathing / show prep
Filling haynets/ water buckets
Feeding
Grooming at local and stay away shows
Training
All training provided at the employers premises, with the employer and supported by Haddon Training.Haddon Training will also support any candidates who need to gain passes in maths and/ or English.
Qualifications required
If you haven't already achieved grade 4/C in GCSE maths and/ or English, Haddon Training will support you in getting the grade needed to achieve the equine apprenticeship.
Skills required
Some previous basic equine skills
Prospects
Progression to a Level 3 Senior groom and or full time employment
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 15 Months
