As our teams grow, we seek our next Financial Accountant to join our team.

Every day is different at The Bread Factory, but here are some of the things you will be doing:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Manage group balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany eliminations.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Prepare statutory accounts (UK GAAP) and group accounts (IFRS).
- Lead external audit processes and manage auditor relationships.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with HMRC regulations, corporation tax, and related areas.
- Provide financial support and insight to internal teams across the business.
- Conduct investment appraisals for wholesale projects and new opportunities.
- Support finance projects including system upgrades and process improvements.
- Assist with ERP optimisation and finance process automation.
- Support financial modelling for new store openings and wholesale partnerships.
- Contribute to the onboarding and financial integration of new entities or acquisitions.
Our team tells us you will be a great addition if you:
- CA qualified (trained in audit)
- Experience in FMCG, food production, or retail (preferred but not essential)
- Strong technical knowledge of group, inventory, and cost accounting
- Confident user of accounting systems (e.g. Sage) and Excel super-user
- A problem-solver with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- An excellent communicator who can bridge finance and non-finance teams
- Organised, proactive, and capable of juggling multiple priorities
- Commercially minded with a real interest in food, retail, or sustainability
