Company Overview:

We are a leading provider of industrial refrigeration solutions across the UK, serving sectors including food and beverage, manufacturing, cold storage, and logistics. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Engineer with strong ammonia (NH₃) experience to join our team covering the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia-based systems.

  • Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

  • Conduct regular inspections and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) in line with F-Gas and Health & Safety regulations.

  • Work with clients to provide excellent technical support and customer service.

  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

  • Participate in a shared on-call rota for emergency callouts.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in industrial refrigeration, including ammonia (NH₃) systems.

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas), Ammonia Safe Handling).

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CO₂ and other natural refrigerants.

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.

  • Experience with controls and PLC systems.
