Summary

Job Summary

Focuses on ensuring overall cleanliness of kitchen areas, in particular the pot wash machine, dishwasher, crockery area, floors, and the Team Member canteen.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

Previous experience working within a Kitchen or similar environment preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
  • Pro-active and reliable.
  • Able to work alone and within a team.

Specific Duties

  • Supplying the highest possible levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back of the house areas.
  • To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the pot wash machine and dish was, sh machine, and cleaning on a ly basis.
  • To ensure that all crockery is handled correctly to minimize breakages.
  • To ensure the Kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
  • To carry out thorough cleaning of all equipment in the kitchminimisesure that all cleaning schedules are followed and signed daily basis.
  • To be fully aware of the:
    • Global food and safety audit 43 check points
    • Accident Report Procedure
    • Maintenance Fault Reporting Procedure
    • Fire Policy for your department
  • To understand how the Safety Policy affects your department and how it links in with the rest of the hotel.
  • To carry out all reasonable instructions given to you by a supervisor.
  • Ensure all SOP’s are followed – Human Resources, Brand Standards and Health and Safety, and Grooming standards.

Other

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Complies with The Forest of Arden Hotel policies and procedures.
  • Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
