Summary
Responsible for the development and leadership of the highly specialised, advanced investigations including intracranial stereo EEG telemetry, home video telemetry, sleep services, intra-operative monitoring services (IOM) and cEEG on ITU. Performs and assists with a range of highly specialised advanced neurophysiological procedures on patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical disorders. This may include spinal cord untethering for cauda equina or tumour resection, sEEG with stimulation / thermocoagulation, polysomnography (PSG). These may be performed in the dedicated environment of the department, or in non-dedicated environments such as operating theatres or on the wards. Performs a range of basic and specialised neurophysiological investigations on patients of all ages from a range of specialities suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those, which may be neurological and/or psychiatric innature. These may be in the dedicated environment of the department or in non-dedicated environment at any location within the Trust and other regional hospitals.
