Summary

Job Title: Procurement Team Lead
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: £57,500 - £70,000 (Depending on Experience) + Additional Benefits

Our client, a well-regarded manufacturer with a global reach, is looking for a Procurement Team Lead to take charge of their procurement operations. This role offers the opportunity to refine strategy, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance procurement processes across the organisation.

This is a leadership position with real potential to influence the direction of procurement for a well-established and evolving company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a clear procurement strategy focused on cost-efficiency, supplier performance, and operational excellence.

• Lead, support, and develop the procurement team to build capability and drive performance.

• Rationalise the supplier base and manage key commercial partnerships. Significant areas of spend include machining and plastic mouldings, along with other goods and services.

• Collaborate with departments including Planning, Production, Engineering, and Design to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services.

• Establish supplier performance metrics and introduce a robust compliance framework aligned with internal policies and industry standards.

• Work with international suppliers and procurement teams to maximise value and alignment across global operations.

About You:
• CIPS-qualified with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and contract law.

• Proven experience leading and developing procurement teams.

• Background in durable goods or broader manufacturing sectors, with specific experience in sourcing machining and plastic mouldings.

• Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing at all levels.

• A proactive leader with the ability to implement change and drive continuous improvement through people and process.
