Opportunity Overview

The School of Health & Society is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented Programme Coordinator to support the administration of academic programmes in line with university processes and professional standards.

The Programme Coordinator will work closely with School-based Programme Support teams and central University professional services to ensure the efficient and effective completion of a range of duties, while upholding high standards in student records management, assessment processes, and compliance with university regulations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisation and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a professional proactive attitude. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy team is essential, along with accuracy, flexibility, excellent data management skills, outstanding customer service, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient, customer-focused support, advising staff on quality and compliance, and liaising with professional services and academic colleagues.
  • Support the accuracy and maintenance of student records, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage workload to ensure urgent issues are addressed promptly, organise and support meetings and committees, and collaborate on process improvement projects.
  • Handle HEE data collection and reporting, ensure data quality and student records accuracy, and meet deadlines for key student-related activities such as registration and graduation.
  • Maintain assessment boards, support business process improvements and digitisation, and supervise Programme Assistants during peak periods.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Programme Manager or School Leadership, comply with health and safety policies, and promote equality and diversity.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, use initiative and make effective decisions, and show flexibility for working outside normal hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service, present information clearly, ensure GDPR compliance, and utilise Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.
