Summary

The Resources Casework Team are looking for a confident, approachable and organised individual to complement the established team who provide HR support to the Council with learnt HR experience. Covering the entire employee lifecycle the responsibilities including recruitment, pre-employment and compliance checks such as DBS and health surveillance, managing staff change processes, arranging training, maintaining accurate staff records and responding to a wide range of HR related queries.

Providing HR support for less complex tasks which require some understanding of relevant processes, regulations and legislation. Resources Caseworkers must ensure attention to detail, accuracy and customer focus to enable the highest possible standards of support and advice to resolve requests.

The successful candidate would ideally have worked in a similar role within local government and able to demonstrate the following:
• Working in a customer focused, support service role with good admin skills
• Ability to analyse and respond to requests and understanding when to escalate a case
• Ability to be accurate, detailed and professional in approach to work
• Maintain confidentiality
• Ability to deliver high standards and good customer service.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft and HR related systems (Select HR), and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• HR experience is essential, CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards
• Good communication skills, recognising when different communication methods are needed.

We offer flexibility and remote working, but please only apply if you're able to work regularly from our office. Some parts of the role, like onboarding checks and data compliance, need to be done on-site. Plus, we value in-person working and team meetings to stay connected and collaborate effectively.
