Summary

About the Organisation
We are a well-established dance studio located in London, committed to fostering holistic wellbeing through movement-based practices. In response to a growing demand for integrative mental health support, we are launching a dedicated Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) programme. Our aim is to provide clients with a safe and creative environment to explore emotional and psychological issues through embodied expression.
We are currently seeking a qualified and bilingual Dance Movement Psychotherapy Practitioner to lead both individual (1:1) and small group sessions. The ideal candidate will possess clinical competence, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for movement-based therapy.

Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate individual and group Dance Movement Psychotherapy sessions, with a maximum of six participants per group
• Assess and respond to clients’ emotional, psychological, and somatic needs using appropriate DMP interventions
• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic plans in accordance with clients’ goals and clinical presentations
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records in line with ethical and professional standards
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants
• Liaise with internal studio staff and, where appropriate, external professionals, to support holistic client care
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the DMP programme

Essential Requirements
• A Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Psychology
• A minimum of 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience working with individuals and/or groups in therapeutic settings
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, ideally including cross-cultural or bilingual contexts
• Professional fluency in both English and Chinese, with the ability to deliver sessions in either language as needed
• Proven understanding of trauma-informed, client-centred, and ethically sound therapeutic practice
• Ability to work on-site in London
