Summary


An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary in the Breast department. Based at Clatterbridge Hospital, the position is offered on a 9 months fixed term basis working 21 hours per week.

This interesting and varied role requires the ability to work well on your own initiative whilst being committed to teamwork as you will need to work with others to meet our patients’ needs. This position requires good communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and be able to represent the department with due professionalism.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing systems for the office/team workload, ensuring work is completed within strict timescales. Administratively supporting clinical & non-clinical activities.

You will need to exercise your judgement and initiative based on experience and knowledge of arising problems and take appropriate action to resolve situations, including follow up of investigation results, ensuring that all results are presented to medical staff and subsequently actioned/filed into patient’s medical records.

You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
