Summary

Are you looking for a role where every day is unique, challenging, and incredibly rewarding? A job that offers a true sense of achievement, knowing you've made a tangible difference to young people's lives? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

Mascalls Academy has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and efficient individual to join us as a Teaching Assistant. This role is perfect for:

Experienced TAs looking to bring their expertise to a supportive new environment.

Individuals passionate about starting a career in education, perhaps considering future teacher training, who want to gain valuable first-hand classroom experience.

Graduates eager to make a direct impact while exploring a pathway into teaching.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have previous experience working with pupils who have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or SLCN (Speech, Language & Communication Needs).

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with selected students on a 1:1 basis and support small groups both in mainstream classes and in our inclusion area via intervention sessions. You'll also collaborate with teachers to differentiate resources and help set and monitor targets. This is your chance to be part of a team that is genuinely changing lives and positively transforming our local community.

What are we looking for?
Passion & Dedication: A sincere commitment to sharing our values and driving continuous improvement.

Collaborative Spirit: Someone who thrives in a professional and supportive team environment.

Foundational Skills: Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy.

Experience: While previous experience of working with young people is preferable, it's not essential – your dedication and willingness to learn are key!

This is a fixed term position offering an actual salary of £18,559 per annum (£23,656 full time equivalent) based on 33.75 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week of inset.
