JOB TITLE: Domestic Assistant
Values – to promote and adhere to Bradwell Hall Nursing Home’s workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
To advise the House Keeper of any health and safety issues you come across.
To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment.
To clean laundry and domestic equipment with the supplied cleaning products and equipment, taking particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation.
To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures in the maintenance book.
To be responsible for accurately recording cleaning activities using the appropriate forms.
Contribute to the health and safety of the residents and their environment by checking your surroundings at all times.
Taking residents personal clothes to laundry and put away when washed.
To ensure the correct use or equipment and coloured cloth’s adhering to Bradwell Hall Nursing Home’s policies and procedures.
To be aware of the Health and Safety and COSHH statement.
To keep up to date with any changes and training within Health and Safety and COSHH.
To take part in all training as required in house and on line.
To undertake annual performance and development reviews with the House Keeper.
Take part in staff meetings as and when required.
To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
Hours: 8.30am to 2.30pm - 24 hr contract - 4 shifts per week
Pay rate: £12.21 p/h
The role of a Domestic Assistant is to ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the home. To keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each resident. This is particularly applicable to each resident’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each resident’s personal possessions.
