*** Secondary School Location: Walsall
*** 1:1 support to a Year 8 child with Autism across the national curriculum

The Role
You’ll be providing daily 1:1 support to a Year 8 student with autism, helping them access the full secondary curriculum. Your support will cover both academic and social aspects—managing classroom transitions, encouraging participation, and adapting learning tasks to meet individual needs.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff, SEN specialists, and the school’s pastoral team to deliver personalised support and help the pupil develop both confidence and independence.

The Candidate
You’re a psychology graduate who’s patient, observant, and has a genuine interest in autism and neurodiversity. You may be planning a career in educational psychology, mental health, SEN teaching, or therapeutic work. If you’ve already worked with young people—whether through mentoring, tutoring, care, or school-based roles—it’s a strong advantage.

This role offers valuable experience in behaviour support, EHCP implementation, and differentiated learning—perfect for your next steps in psychology or education.
