We are seeking a motivated and experienced Central Dispatch Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our Wynyard site. This is a
pivotal role within our distribution operations — ideal for a driven individual with a passion for logistics, leadership, and
operational excellence in a fast-paced food environment.



Despatch Supervisor – Chilled Food Manufacturing

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shift pattern rotating days -7am - 7pm and nights - 6pm - 6am

Pay: £29564.16 per annum

What you will be doing:

As a Central Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient intake, storage, and delivery of all stock and goods.
You’ll lead a dedicated team of Stock Controllers and Pickers, ensuring the seamless movement of products internally and
externally, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and quality.



Key Responsibilities

* Oversee stock receipt accuracy and coordinate with production sites on delivery schedules.
* Monitor and reconcile stock levels — ensuring real-time, accurate reporting twice daily.
* Support the Stock Controller in investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
* Supervise the picking process, maintaining efficiency, customer satisfaction, and product integrity.
* Enforce rigorous stock rotation and temperature control policies.
* Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of goods to internal and external customers.
* Liaise with hauliers and site teams for order planning, product availability, and special deliveries.
* Maintain full accuracy in despatch notes, load sheets, and customer shortage reporting.
* Oversee weekend system shutdowns in accordance with protocols.
* Line-manage and support a team of Order Pickers and Stock Controllers.
* Drive team performance, training, attendance, and compliance.
* Continuously seek to improve departmental systems, processes, and customer service standards.





What we need from you:

* Proven experience in dispatch, warehouse, or logistics supervision — ideally in the food or FMCG sector.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Excellent organisational and computer skills (e.g. stock systems, reporting tools).
* A “can-do” attitude and hands-on approach to solving problems and driving improvements.
* A commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
