Hours:

5hours per week, on days to be agreed with the employer, can be flexible.

Rate of Pay:£13.50per hourJob purpose:
I am seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to build a long-term, supportive relationship with my daughter. The role involves assisting her with daily activities to help her lead a fulfilling and independent life, aligned with her personal interests and lifestyle.


The ideal candidate will be someone who can establish a trusting and motivational relationship, encouraging her to engage in both everyday routines and wider community activities. This may stem from your own lived experience or previous professional roles.




Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Encourage independence by supporting the development of life skills
  • Assist with accessing local community resources and activities
  • Build confidence both at home and in public settings
  • Support with managing post and personal finances
  • Assist with household tasks, working collaboratively
  • Encourage involvement in local groups and support networks
  • Provide support with time management, attending appointments, and exploring volunteer or paid work opportunities
Key Requirements

· Ability to always maintain confidentiality

· Strong communication skills

· Patience and empathy, particularly for young people with social anxiety

· Willingness to build a trusting, long-term relationship

· Experience supporting individuals with high-functioning autism is desirable

· An interest in creative arts, digital media, or animation is a bonus

· Reliable, flexible, and honest

· Able to work independently and use initiative

· A driving license is preferred for occasional outings (but not essential)

· Enhanced DBS check required (to be arranged if successful)


Additional Information

· Based in Yate (home and local area)

· 5.6 weeks of annual leave pro-rata
