Job Description

We are seeking a talented and energetic Weekend Breakfast Chef to join our catering team in Knottingley. As the Weekend Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a canteen style breakfast. This role requires excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Plan and prepare a variety of breakfast items, ensuring high quality and consistency
  • Manage the breakfast kitchen operations during weekend shifts
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste while maintaining quality
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
  • Adapt to changing customer needs and dietary requirements


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a breakfast chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast food preparation techniques and trends
  • Excellent understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Team player with good communication abilities
  • Current Food Safety Certification required
  • Experience in high-volume breakfast service
  • Knowledge of various dietary restrictions and allergens
  • Ability to work early morning hours and weekends
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
