Summary
Key Responsibilities: Act as a professional and empathetic chaperone for patients during ultrasound procedures. Welcome and prepare patients for their scans, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. Input patient details into the ultrasound machine accurately before each scan. Assist in setting up the clinic before each session and clearing down at the end of the day. Disinfect ultrasound probes and any surfaces or equipment (including gel residues) between each patient. Ensure that clinical spaces remain clean, well-prepared, compliant with infection control policies. Provide holiday, sickness, and extra clinic cover when required. Requirements: Previous experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate compassion and professionalism. Reliable and flexible with a proactive attitude to supporting the clinical team. Basic IT skills for inputting patient information into systems. Desirable: Training in infection prevention and control (or willingness to undertake training). Understanding of ultrasound procedures (full training will be provided). Working Hours: Variable shifts, typically Monday to Friday, with additional availability required for cover on other days.
