Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is currently in construction on site at Sizewell. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.We have a fantastic opportunity for Quality Engineers to join the Project Delivery Organisation Quality function. You’ll play a vital part in the success of its goals.Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively. The RoleReporting directly to the Quality Leads you will assist them in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.You’ll enjoy the opportunity to occasionally travel to project locations within the UK in order to achieve close collaboration with our wider project team members and other stakeholders.You’ll be supporting the Quality Leads in managing daily PDO Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, updating and reporting on PDO Quality governance, manufacturing/construction documents.You’ll have opportunities to take ownership and drive improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, implementing new methodologies using problem solving techniques to identify and resolve issues. The SkillsYou'll have a minimum HNC/HND qualification level in a science/engineering, quality management based subject, or equivalent qualification.You’ll have experience of working in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and experience of working within an ISO 9001 operating environment.Ideally you’ll also have experience of working within a project environment.You’ll be IT literate with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and SharePoint.Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools.Experience of capturing and driving continuous improvement methods and tools.You’ll be organised, have a good attention to detail, along with a structured approach to work planning and execution.
