Summary
Clinical Supervision & Appraisals:Conduct annual appraisals for Practice Nurses and HCAs. Provide continuous feedback and support professional development. Mentor, Support and Develop Colleagues and Students: Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Practice Nurses, HCAs, and students on placement or training within the practice. Training & Induction:Identify training needs, coordinate mandatory and specialist training, and oversee the induction of new clinical staff.Nursing Team Leadership:Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and act as a point of contact for clinical advice and support within the nursing team.Revalidation Support:Support nurses in preparing for NMC revalidation, including portfolio guidance, reflective discussions, and evidence gathering.HR Liaison:Work alongside the Practice Manager on HR matters such as absence management, performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with employment policies and procedures.Protocol & Policy Development:Lead the development, review, and implementation of clinical protocols and standard operating procedures in collaboration with the Practice Manager and GP team.Quality Improvement:Drive quality assurance initiatives, monitor care outcomes, and implement improvements based on audit findings and patient feedback. Team Meetings: Actively participate in and contribute to a variety of practice meetings. Represent the nursing team and share updates or feedback as needed
