Summary
For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification: To provide a clear focus for nursing, giving a highly visible and authoritative presence within the units. To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality care and ensuring that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery whatever the setting. To work clinically for a minimum of 7.5hrs/week. Oversee the day to day management of the oncology wards, working with the ward leaders, clinical nurse specialists, medical teams and administrative groups to ensure the smooth running of the clinical areas. Ensure CNSs work at an advanced practice level, providing a specialist service and level of expertise in their specialist area ensure their interventions are timely and well documented. Ensure CNSs offer all relevant patients a Holistic Needs Assessment at appropriate patient milestones, be responsible for this data collection and make sure that the HNA enables the CNS to devise a personalised care plans, ensuring patients needs are met holistically.
