An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing with Care to recruit to our Housing Support Assistant role.

The post holder will assist the Housing Support Worker within the Housing with Care Service in West Lothian to ensure that tenants are provided with the means to maintain independent tenancies by ensuring a warm friendly and safe environment.

The post holder will assist in the support of tenants within their homes by providing individual advice, practical assistance, direct personal and emotional care.

You will work as part of a team who will ensure that all services are delivered flexibly and responsibly. The primary focus of this post is to contribute to the provision of a seamless service which will promote the independence, welfare and dignity of the tenants.

Current vacancy: Dickson Ct (West Calder) 30.5 hours

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
