We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join a thriving secondary school in Ripley. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
The RoleWe are looking for a motivated English Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons, monitoring student progress, and contributing to the wider school community. This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities-
Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons tailored to a range of student abilities

Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support

Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum

Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and mutual respect

Collaborate with staff, parents, and guardians to support student success and wellbeing
Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Experience:

At least 1–2 years of experience teaching English in a secondary school

Qualifications:

A degree in English or a related subject and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Training:

Experience in classroom management, differentiation, and safeguarding practices

Skills:

Strong communication, organisation, and the ability to inspire and motivate learners
