Summary
SOAR Community is an award-winning regeneration charity in North Sheffield which provides a number of services for the community including health, buildings management, training and support into employment.
We have an exciting vacancy in our Employment Team for an Employment Coach.

Employment Coach
KEY TERMS & CONDITIONS:
• 37 hours per week, 25 days holiday pro rata, 1 day birthday leave, 8% non-contributory pension.
• SOAR is a living wage employer and seeks to uprate salaries by the annual increase in the living wage
• Cycle to Work scheme – Buy a bike tax free and cycle to work.
• Westfield Foresight Health Plan – Annual benefits and services such as routine dental work and check-ups, etc.
The Employment Coach will deliver the information, advice and guidance function within SOARs Social Prescribing Service, working on a one-to-one basis to:
• identify employment opportunities for the range of individuals referred to job club provision from a variety of sources
• support individuals into sustained employment
• determine realistic employment goals and identify the individual’s barriers to work, support them to access a range of internal and external services to address their barrier to work
• pro-actively approach potential employers to secure work opportunities
• liaise with the individual and employers to ensure employment is sustained
• develop close working partnerships with health, social care, housing and voluntary, community or faith (VCF) organisations.
The post holder will have strong communication skills, be organised and able to engage with clients from a range of backgrounds, managing a complex caseload. Using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques to build confidence in clients and to progress them into work and/or training.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
