Summary
• Responsible for the preparation, marination, and cooking of a variety of tandoori
dishes, ensuring that each dish is cooked to perfection using traditional
methods and adhering to the restaurant's high standards of authenticity and
quality.
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring it is properly set up, heated,
and cleaned after each use, and that safety procedures are followed at all times
when handling the equipment.
• Contribute to the creation of new tandoori-based dishes, introducing innovative
flavours while maintaining the authentic Indian culinary traditions that the
restaurant is known for.
• Oversee junior kitchen staff and assist in the training of new chefs in the
preparation and cooking of tandoori dishes, ensuring consistency and
adherence to the restaurant's high standards.
• Monitor the quality of ingredients used for tandoori cooking, ensuring all food
safety guidelines are followed, including proper storage, handling, and
preparation of raw materials, to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and
food safety.
