The role will be based at Compass Community Hub 17-20 Gurnos, Merthyr Tydfil and can be flexible on days worked.

We are looking for someone with a background in ceramics who would like to pass on their knowledge to our learners to help them to gain skills and

their health and wellbeing

Deliver agreed training and workshops linked to the outcomes of the Shared Prosperity Fund program and strategic outcomes for MTCBC

Promote social inclusion, engage children , young people and adults in learning opportunities to improve skills levels and help combat loneliness and isolation
Deliver soft skills development , non-accredited and accredited workshops to participants
Support learners by helping individuals to gain access to the benefits of learning by removing barriers
Provide support in curriculum development, quality assurance and commit to including cross cutting themes in modes of delivery
Provide advice, guidance and signposting to further learning and training opportunities , linking in with the progression officer
Work in partnership with a broad range of professionals and organisations within the statutory, non-statutory and third sector
Disseminate good practice locally and nationally through standardisation meetings
Deliver appropriate accredited courses that fits within the Credit Qualification Framework Wales or awarding body standards
Support in marketing the project to encourage engagement
Be proactive in offering innovative solutions to increase the curriculum offered
Be dynamic and enthusiastic to cover multiple subject areas when required
Ensure safe working practises during delivery and contributing to the wider health and safety practises and procedures of the centre
Will be required to work outside of “normal” working hours when needed
Contribute to the wider development of the employability agenda by attending meeting, contributing ideas for continuous improvement
To develop and maintain quality records and paperwork for funders, awarding bodies, audit and inspections
Any other duties deemed reasonable by the manager / senior manager
You would need to have advanced skills in ceramics and either have experience in teaching or hold a teaching qualification.
